Join us for, “Understanding Eco-Anxiety & Strategies to Navigate Change” on Zoom on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Guest speaker, Léonard Leclerc, B.A., psychosocial intervener at Éco-motion, will explain the concept of eco-anxiety, also known as climate anxiety. Additionally, he will prepare participants to develop an action plan which covers: ways to contribute, ways to navigate feelings of despair, and ways to connect. This workshop is open to everyone. The presentation will focus on managing medications, the role of the pharmacist as part of the senior’s care team, and important vaccinations for seniors, such as the shingles and pneumonia vaccines. Please join us on Thursday, November 28th, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the Amédée-Beaudoin Community Center, 10 rue Samuel-Gratham, Borough of Lennoxville. Free admission. From November to March, Mental Health Estrie is accepting HUGS (Hats, Underwear, Gloves, Socks, and Scarves) and other warm items of clothing. These are then donated to local resources offering services to those experiencing homelessness. Monetary donations are also accepted through our website or by cheque (please make cheques payable to Mental Health Estrie and indicate HUGS on the memo line). Items can be dropped off directly at our offices in the beige bins next to door #2 at 3355 rue College, Sherbrooke. Alternatively, an in-person appointment can be scheduled to drop off items or a cheque.
